I used to have a tape of a live performance in Jacksonville(I think) from sometime circa 1984/5. It was a steamingly good show, though, I tended to prefer them when Donnie Van Zant handled the lead vocals, as opposed to Don Barnes or , later on,Max Carl.
Best track they ever did? "Wild eyed southern boys"!
By the way, has anyone heard the Jimmie Van Zant "Southern Comfort" album? If so, opinions please?
