Nicky, the reality is that a magazine is still accessed by a larger audience than any website, no matter how good said site is. I think that the growth of Classic Rock is, as far as the UK is concerned, the best bet we have for improving the situation, as it is bringing back a good many of the people who dropped out of the scene when Kerrang and Metal(ha, f**king ha!)Hammer changed their musical policy. It's funny, but when mags such as the snivelling K demand rock fans be more open-minded when they cover No Doubt or Bloodhound Gang or whoever, at the exclusion of a Malmsteen, Whitesnake, Jekyll & Hyde, Crue etc, that the same open-mindedness is not extended to rock acts by other publications that will cover No Doubt etc to the Nth degree!
