ROCKSTAR's pro-grunge statement

Yeah, the last ten minutes almost nullified everything that came before it. As if grunge was the 'answer' or the 'antidote' to the hair metal excesses of the 80s. Well, 99% of all metal bands who went grunge went back to metal in the late 90s!! So ROCKSTAR was, in essence, a pro-grunge movie because it ended with a 'reformed' Mark Wahlberg looking and sounding like Eddie Vedder.

That, to me, was the movie's fatal misstep.
