HEY STAR..Whats with the attitude twoards the KOOGS man!? Well let me tell ya, I have Long hair, and I for one agree with Koogs. It was a good movie, but COULD have been better. It was entertaining and i did enjoy it, but like koogs said it could have been much better. I also agree that no matter how good this movie is or could have been, its not going to lead a massive comeback of the god ol days. It might have a small impact of sales of catalog titles like BON JOVI, KISS and other bands that were heard in the movie, but that will be the extent of it. If you think im wrong, did ALMOST FAMOUS bring back the 70's?

The only chance this movie would have of getting the labels and mtv to sign 80s bands and play their videos, this movie would have to be a block buster the size of titanic in order to spark thatmuch interst in the industry to run out and start a blitz of clones for release. You have to realize the Music industry changed years ago, it is run more by buissness men that came out of buissnes schools. There is no longer people in the high up positions that care about the music or the artist, they care about marketability and numbers. Back in the 70s and stil some part of the 80s people at the labels belived in nuturing a band or artist, wait til the 2 or 3 album for the band to peak. Now you need to peak by your second single. So long story short...KOOGS IS RIGHT! This movie is not goign to lead a comeback!

Another good point for you. POISON can go on tour and sell out shows to around 15-20 thousand people, But a new album would not do well. Thats cause people for the most part are not interested in the new material, they want to relive their youth and hear the hits. You have to also realize 95% of the music buying public are 16-23. And for that age group our music is not something that majority will buy, they are going to buy what IS popular. Back in the 80s when BON JOVI was the big thing, did you run out and buy EAGLE albums or a Carpenter albums? No , most likely you didnt, cause that was then and this is now. Same thing here, Our music was then and this is now.

In a few years, these kids will go thru what we did with a transistion of a new music taking over and theirs being outdated and pase.
