Hi folks,

some new ear & eye candy on :

Sahara - Same

My long awaited (2 years !!!) favorite by the swedish AOR masters. Listen to
'Stranger' and tell me if there was a similar song the last 10 years having
so much emotion in offering these lyrics to the listener ? The whole album is
more on the mellow and westcoast side of AOR, but the songs are of very high
quality and very well produced. If you like a softer Street Talk don't waste
another second and get Sahara. Great lead vocals, great songs, great artwork
- very well worth the long wait ! This is gonna be a classic in my

Broke[N]Blue - Northern Light

Newcomers from Sweden playing AOR by numbers ! Having a female and a male
lead vocalist (Eva Eggesjoe and Peter Gustavsson) the albums offers a great
variety within the AOR genre. Great songs like 'I Will Be There' or the smash
hit 'Enuff' are highlights on a very well produced CD in the vein of Alyson
Avenue. Great keyboards and hooklines. Unfortunately the artwork of the CD is
very poor - C64 or Atari - although the 'Northern Light' on the album cover is
a pretty cool picture

Royal Hunt - The Mission

After the awesome 'Fear' ROYAL HUNT continues with John West on vocals. This
sixth studio release is a concept album based on a Sciene Fiction novel by
Ray Bradbury 'Marian Chronicles'. Like 'Fear' this is a strong effort,
although the concept thing might not be every fan's cup of tea. The band is in
excellent shape and even CORNERSTONE influences show up. Imagine a mix of the last
ROYAL HUNT and the CORNERSTONE soundwise and you'll get the idea.
