MELODIC ROCK/METAL WILL NEVER DIE!

I've read some of the more pessimistic assessments relating to the future of melodic rock and in response I take a far more optimistic view. If you look back throughout the history of rock in the last 30 years there have3 always been peaks and troughs but melodic rock has always bounced back. When punk and disco hit it big in the late 1970s many lampooned bands like Yes and even legends like Purple but they survived. Grunge supposedly heralded a clearout of "hair bands" but guess what all the hair bands are still going whilst the grunge scene has been decimated. John Q seems to think that the Pearl Jam's etc. will be remembered in 25 years time. I think he's being overly generous, maybe only Nirvana will survive and even they were rubbish. CHEERS.KAOS FAN.
