Here's one for all you Harem Scarem fans. No wait... it *is* Harem Scarem...uh, no wait, it isn't...well it sort of is...and isn't. Aww, who cares, it sounds amazingly like Harem Scarem in their prime, which is a good thing. Harry Hess and Pete Lesperence have lent their talents to quite a few projects over the years, and this is one of the better ones, presumably they are "the Wild Bunch" in Doctor Rock and the Wild Bunch. The disc I've chosen to showcase is the 2nd album from the group, the 1994 album Stark Raving Mad. Many of the tracks were also on the 1991 album Eye of the Hurricane, but appear here in revamped (and IMHO much better) form. Full of hooks and harmonies, this album is an absolute must-have for any self-respecting AOR fan. For your listening enjoyment, here is one of my favorite tracks from the album, Doomsday Love Song (6.1 MB).
