I always have to laugh when I hear clowns like Metallica or now Klaus Meine taking credit for thinking of the 'orchestra-meets-rock-thing' first. Deep Purple did that shit back in '69 when Lars Ulrich was still shitting his diaper for cryin' out loud! Uli Jon Roth did a full on orchestra production back in the early 90's in Belgium and has come with an orchestrated disc since, Yngwie did his symphony thing a couple of years ago, and Rage from Germany did theirs before that. Purple just released another disc with some symphony as have Kansas, and Jaz Coleman from Killing Joke conducted an classical orchestra doing Led Zep a few years ago I believe. And I'm not even gonna get into ELP and the whole 70's prog movement...
