Symphonic Scorpions!

I thought I'd 'grown out' of the Scorpions. That I'd never buy another album again but one listen to their new album with the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra and I've changed my mind. It just blew me away!!

I know they'll get slagged off for ripping off Metallica ( although in 'Classic Rock' Klaus Meine reckoned they had investigated the idea first) but taken by itself it is just excellent. Possibly even better than Metallica's. The material seems to lend itself over to the concept even better. The first track is a totally AWESOME version of 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' (Hurricane 2000) which is even better than the original. The ballads like 'Wind of Change' and 'Send Me An Angel' are perhaps the more obvious successes but who would have expected an instrumental, orchestral version of 'He's A woman, She's A Man' to rock like a bastard as much as this!!

Just try it! Put away all your pre-conceptions and get a listen to 'Hurricane 2000' at least. I think you'll be impressed. But if it's a success, where do they go from here?
