Like many in the U.S., I didn't know much about Slade until Quiet Riot covered them. After that, I was curious, but Slade albums (and CD's at that time) were hard to come by.

I ended up getting just about every Slade CD through import shops. While they were popular for their songs in the 70's, they released some pretty heavy stuff in the 80's prior. The live album Slade On Stage is probably one of my favorite live albums from any band.

I miss Noddy not being in the current lineup and wasn't sure what to make of the new Hill/Powell led group. But I will say Keep On Rockin' is one the heaviest riffs Hill has come up. Simple, yet powerful. (By the way, Noddy's book is a fun read. Just wish he had spent more time on the years after Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome was released.Martin wrote:
