.... in fact my current desire to slim my collection down to a few hundred albums at most was mostly caused by the realisation of how many albums I had kept or bought because a song or two was a redeeming feature in an otherwise faceless morass of sameness and averagosity (new word!) ... from now on in I'm going to get my musical kicks from those albums which have (IMHO) high songwriting values throughout rather than worry about the one good or great track on such and such an album thatI'll miss ....
