6. Mogg/Way - Edge Of The World. Forget Walk On Water, this album is the best thing the boys from UFO ever did after the sublime Lights Out. And George Bellas just smokes on guitar.
Steve, just curious - did you ever check out the second Mogg/Way, 'Chocolate Box'? I far prefer it to EOTW because Jeff Kollman is not only a much better songwriter, his style fits a lot better with Mogg & Way's whole trip. Bellas strikes me as a post-Yngwie noodler with little to no feel and a really generic tone who is lost trying to inject even an once of Schenker. Kollman the other hand has Schenker down pat in spots but brings his own vibe into the music, too. He seem like a natural wheras Bellas sounds forced whren he is slowing down. I remember Mogg saying he was very unhappy with EOTW because of Bellas whereras he's been raving about Kollman and apparently wants to do another Mogg/Way album with Jeff even though Schenker is back in UFO - for now. Oh yeah, 'Walk On Water' is FAR better than 'Edge Of The World'.;-) In fact, I deem WOW the best comeback album of any geezer band. I wish Maiden, Crimson Glory, etc. would've been able to pull it off as well as UFO did with WOW.
