Y A W N . . .

Are we regurgitating the same thread again for the zillionth time??? This is really getting annoying *and* pathethic.

For those of you still on the "it's not Styx without Dennis" rant... Get over it. It's been 2 years now and I don't expect things to change any time soon. Even when the lawsuit is finally over, I only expect there to be some sort of a monetary settlement agreement, not a ruling demanding that they allow Dennis to play with them again. For four members (yes, count 'em -- four) to be in agreement over band issues and direction, I totally expect them to be granted the right to continue using the Styx name. Remember, Dennis was fired once before. This was a long time in coming.

Granted, four live albums for a band are a little much, but there could be contractual obligations that they need to adhere to (of which, we know none of the details), there's the pending lawsuit outcome, and then their demanding touring schedule. Show me one band that has been able to record a completed original product while adhereing to such a grueling schedule. They have been basically non-stop for the last two years now, traveling all over the world. BTW, I hear from people who are hard to impress and are somewhat in the music reporting business themselves that this recording is outstanding! Far better than the Arch Allies recording (which I don't believe Styx had much influence over how the package was put together) and much more diversified. I've listened to a few samples myself, and I can't wait for this release. (BTW, I only own the Styx portion of Arch Allies courtesy of Napster.)

I'm really getting tired of hearing supposedly "grown adults" constantly whining, kicking, and screaming over who's in a band and who isn't. These are *business* and *personal* decisions and no amount of whimpering is going to change things. If you still enjoy the product, great! If not, just move on to something else and stop your pouting. There's far more important things to concentrate on -- your own family, friends, business, etc.

On a side note, I've noticed something... When a band has a successful personnel change, the devout outted-member's fans become enraged and try to poison everyone's option with their own -- many in a very disturbing and drastic manner. When the personnel change fails and the band dies completely, no one seems to really care all that much -- even those so-called "devout" fans....
