I'd swear I heard that as soon as he found out he had cancer, he quit smoking. Now, if he's still smoking, what gives?

I personally can't feel sorry for someone who is giving themselves a disease that is knowingly self-inflicted. I lost a friend to cancer who was only 25. She never smoked a day in her life. She never had a choice. Eddie does. However, if he wants to continue smoking, he has obviously made his choice.

I truly hope Eddie gets better, but don't expect to see me feeling sorry for him. I feel sorry for people who have circumstances thrust upon them that are out of their control. I don't feel sorry for people who knowingly abuse themselves then seek salvation...and continue to afflict themselves with what got them ill in the first place. Some people never learn.
