Phil, where the hell did you get that from......

Are you saying that we should have had the first Boston album competing with "Pet Sounds", "Revolver", and "Aftermath" , three of the greatest albums in musical history, in the year 1966 (not coincidentally the year a great man - ME - was born)

Somehow I don't see the Boston sound doing well in that time period (if it would have even been technologically possible). And I guarantee that a lyric like "boogie tonight just keep on tokin" would not have made it to radio.

Now for my "frustrated opinion".......

Boston's first 3 albums were excellent, even with 8 years and 3 missing band members between "Don't Look Back" and "Third Stage".

"Walk On" was the equivalent of that piece of crap that Eddie Van Halen released in 1998. A guitarist with an ego, trying to pass off a solo album as a band effort. Yeah, you could say that about "Third Stage" as well, but as long as you had Brad Delp singing, at least it sounded like Boston .

So far, I've heard 2 songs from the new album. The song titled "Turn it Off" is very appropriately named, because I did. If it ain't Brad, it ain't Boston, period. The other song "Someone" is much more faithful to the Boston sound. I hope that Delp is singing on the majority of the album, or I'll have to pass on it.

At the rate that these guys make albums, they should be on Medicare by the time the next one begins recording.
