Peter you asked about the Burning Rain set list in an earlier post. Sorry I can't remember the titles and can't find my cd's to remind me. Thet did stuff off both cd's and it was very well paced. There were no BMR, Lion or Hurricane tracks as I recall. One thing I didn't expect was they had a keyboard player to add to the sound and pretty good he was too. They were as tight as anything that's really tight lol. I shook hands with Doug Aldrich and he gave me the plectrum he used on the last song, which I put right in my pocket. When I looked at it later it has his signature on one side and the BMR logo on the other. He must have a pile of those left over.
As for the other bands on the day I didn't mention in my earlier post. Missed Contagious due to transport.
Seven Wishes non descript and boring.
Prisoner good songs and the singer with the short hair is a funny guy. However visually they were pretty dull.
Dream Hunter are ok but they have almost the same pace from start to finish. They need to vary the tempo if they are going to compete with the likes of those above them on the bill.
The venue is great for the type of gig. A bigger stage than Maximes and a good layout. I'd say the turn out was pretty good although not a sell out.
I think Keiran's point about the lack of support is fair in that the British public generally don't get behind these events. Problem is without radio leaders to make up "most" peoples minds for them they simply wouldn't have a clue.
