I think they may have had the wrong person running it? The right person would have creatively marketed the bands & gotten the word out about their new cds. Hell, you hardly even knew when a new cd came out from some of the Portrait label bands. The Portrait website was half-assed & was rarely up-to-date.

I appreciated the intent of the Portrait label though, & hope we'll see another label successfully support this type of music in the future.
