Kevin,
Unfortunately, Deep Purple(whom I like)has the same problem. I remember looking at my collection last year to discover I had 12 Deep Purple live albums! TWELVE!!! I swear, they have a live album for every studio record except 'Slaves And Masters'. And don't even get started on how many compilations they have. Now they're coming out with some rehearsal stuff from when Glenn Hughes was in the band.
sounds like another band with the Magnum thing going on. More extras albums than studio cds....
It's great for them financially, and I know we all have the right NOT to buy it, but it looks like desperate attempts to keep their wallets fat with minimal work. At least Rush has a live album after every 4 studio records. That is at least justified. Foreigner might want to consider a real live album that wasn't from "shelved" tapes. And even throw on 2-3 new songs. The 'Classics Live' CD only went as far as the '4' album I believe, so they've got several other albums worth of great songs to thorw on there. That would at least be acceptable until the can get a deal and release another studio album.
great idea, except the fact that Lou's voice is shot----or was on last summer's tour supporting Journey--hopefully it is a bit better now... Of course, they have probably recorded something over the last few years...
