There's a seemingly endless list of AOR/melodic rock bands/musicians that use outside writers. Does that demean their talent? What about cover bands and all these 'tribute' albums?

Irrespective, Eric is right that, like it or not, Rap/Hip Hop HAS changed the face of popular music for better or worse depending on your opinion. It is now as much a part of white culture as it is black culture. In much the same way as the blues is.

Whatever, it's not going away.
