Music is not defined by abilty to play an instrument, but ones perception might be different. The Dictionary describes music as " The art of organizing tones to produce a coherent sequence of sounds to elicit an aesthhetic response in a listener."

Having listened to music from the European tradition most of my life, I find it difficult to relate to Rap/ and Hip Hop. I have found the music tedious and it's "Yo Motherf**ker" attitude as phoney as Black Metal bands in White face paint, yet it is still music-my perception is different.
