Koogles? Journey DID change music??

I disagree with your statement in an earlier thread. Making music more concise is not changing music, only adding to an existing style. I also disagree with the assumption that Journey "invented the power ballad". I don't think so, and although Journey did break the genre to a wider audience, there are numerous examples on dozens of AOR albums prior to "Escape" (I would not include "Beth"and "Dream On" in that catagory).

I am not trying to rip on Journey as what they did, they did well. On the other hand, they defined the term "Corporate Rock", so wishing them greater sucsess is Moot isn't it?
