What are you getting on your high horse for? I said that they were "makeweights". That's hardly personal abuse and I'd evidence it with their place in the melodic rock pecking order. I do hope we're not going to descend to the level of "before I make this comment let me assure that I respect your right to have a contrary opinion and in no way believe my own opinion to be definitive, absolute or even interesting". I described their music as "formulaic and generic". You described Angel as "doing nothing for" you. Not much difference in those views about different bands except that I've expanded a little on why LA "do nothing for" me. I don't think LA are "has been"s by the way - I think they are "never were"s. That's not a facetious comment, that's my view of what they ever meant in either broader or even fairly narrow "melodic rock" commercial or artisitc terms. I think Angel are "has beens" (you will notice on my original posts my most critical remarks were saved for them) because they did write some great music and now don't. Again, I really don't think I've come close to lacking tact. If you disagree with me vehemently on musical grounds - fine - I'm not in the least bothered that you consider me to lack taste. You may well be right.
