It may have appeal to some people, but it has none to me. I am a collector. I want the real thing.

Then again, I'm one of those people who use Napster (and use it quite a bit) as an evaluation method. If I'm curious what artist X sounds like, I'll check them out via Napster, and if I like them I'll go out and obtain the real disc.

The other thing I use Napster for is to enjoy/evaluate discs before the U.S. releases. I've had CDRs of W.A.S.P. - Unholy Terror and Halford - Live Insurrection for weeks now, courtesy of Napster. On Tueday, the WASP CDR will go in the trash when I buy the actual disc, and 2 weeks later the Halford will follow suit.

Would I pay for the privilege? A nominal monthly fee regardless of downloads, yes. On a per-song basis, fergidabowdid.
