I guess the bottom line is they have to sell a product - they're not going to go "Well here's Motley's new album, its pretty shite, but knock yourselves out if you're game".

Hype tends to make me run in the opposite direction, goes for anything, not just music. And its not just people in the industry like critics and labels and managers and the like, its the fans as well don't forget. I'm afraid I take most postings raving about this and that on this board with a grain of salt, but I'm putting that down more to my personal tastes not really fitting in here too well more then anything else.

But it doesn't stop me reading any of it, I read as much as I can, good bad or indifferent when time permits, and I don't think that if its raving or scathing it should be missed. If you have to take it with a grain of salt, so be it, but don't stop reading about it.
