No disrespect to Surfpunk but Our Price are absolutely one of the worst record shop chains in the country. Their stock is geared to flavour of the month artists and established classics. If you want anything new on a small or even major label ( most times ) you have got no chance. The annoying thing though is that Our Price are one of these arrogant businesses who think they are the best at what they do. They stock product they believe the public want and if you ask for something out of their range they think your a wierdo. If you want Britney, The Beatles and Hear Say go to Our Price. Oh and by the way expect to pay around £4 or £5 more for stuff than anywhere else.
Virgin and HMV are just as bad as far as prices go although they have a slightly better choice. Eg Asia's new cd cost me £13.99, Saga's £15.99 in HMV. I only bought them because I had vouchers from my birthday. These cd's I could have got elsewhere for £11 to £13. Some of their stuff is £16.99 for a UK release.
The indie shops are cheaper than the big chains when it's the chains who should be offering bigger discounts.
