Maiden may have got the glory but if it hadn't been for Judas Priest they probably would never have existed. Admitedly priest are the kings of 'cheese metal' but, that guitar sound, man that ROCKS!
Savatage are still quite awesome and deserve as much respect as a classic band like Black Sabbath.
Leatherwolf (despite the awful name) were one of the most exciting bands I ever saw when they toured in the UK on the release of 'Street Ready'.
