Bon Jovi 'Crush' comment

'Crush' is still yet to be released here in England but almost everyone I know who is remotely interested either already had a copy or has at least heard it and decided it doesn't live up to the "Slippery for the Y2K" hype currently being generated and can't be bothered buying it now. So this raises two points...

1) Should they have gone with one worldwide release date to avoid the bootleg problem?

2) If the album sells shit loads to the mainstream irrespective of the melodic rock fan's viewpoint does melodic rock as we know and love it stand ANY chance of returning?

Surely this was the best hope the scene had for other bands to jump on the coat tails of. (At least until the Journey album)

Me, I'm still undecided about it. I just hope it starts the tills ringing!
