Billy Joel was always hard to catagorize for me. He never seem to fit any genre. "The Stranger" still remains a favorite, and whenever I play the thing, it still reminds me of my growing up on Long island- a very "New York" album. Rod Stewart has done a lot of AOR stuff in the past, but to me it always seemed contrived? I still prefer his Faces stuff.

I can't stomach Dave Matthews (egotistical) or his music, but the band as players are quite good.
