Yes, Pierce Arrow is very laid back but their definitely some quality locked in there, Crimson Tide - it's their first that has been rescued - the 2nd awaits the fateful appraisal! I agree that AOR had run its course and I'm not suggesting these are earth-shattering - all they have done is escape the first cut (of many!). But Delta has definitely got some decent songwriting on it. I have to agree hole-heartedly with everything on your list of avoidables though! Surgin in particular shows up some of the most vapid songwriting I've ever heard. How Cellarful of Noise could have been quite so bad wth Donnie Iris involved! and the Buckinghams were probablyy better in the 60s... I hope so anyway. Maybe Cobra is a little harsh in there - there is a least a competence to everything on the LP that is not in the others... by the way was DAvid Della Ross aever in Bandit and Reggie Knighton in the Grass Roots??
