How the Band Name TOTO Came Along?

Sorry for the trivia. According to the dictionary I own, theories abound. The most laughing one is it derived from the name of Japanese ceramic company which produces toilet stools. What I heard from the FM station I often listen to is it came from TOTAL which means "everything" .In English pronunciation it sounds like TOTO! LOL!
Someone who can give us new theories or definite answer, please let us know.
