Re: Why don't the greatest voices DO MORE SINGING?

Because unfortunately people got lazy and started buying rock with substandard vocals (the rot set in with Axl Rose & James Hetfield in the 80s if you ask me - their bands hitting it big was the turn of rock down a slippery slope) - people put up with "attitude" - whatever that means - instead of talent. AOR became overrun with the male "singer -songwriter" type that often didn't bother with verses. A breathy semi-talking over a sparse arrangement (you know the culprits) waiting for the chorus which when it came was anticlimatic with hardly a hint of vibrato!
