I'm here Eric, reading this thread with great interest. You know me I am 40 in two weeks so I grew up listening to lot's of stuff you and Mr Pomp listen too and I still feel that most of those bands are superior to todays acts. However, that does not mean that I don't like todays musical offerings. I basically am an addict and I listen to as much new stuff as I can. There is great stuff in every decade since the
70's and as long as there are bands out there prepared to make rock albums I'll be happy. I really couldn't care less if there is no return to the glory days of the 80's as far as popularity with the general public goes. I think I know enough about the
scene to find out about my interests and I feel lucky to know what I know.
Unfortunately the majority of people only listen to music on a casual basis ( which is why you get people in the front row of recent Journey gigs who think Steve Perry is on stage ) and will never be interested enough to delve into things the way you, Mr Pomp and others on this board do.
As for AOR I thought Black Sabbath started it in 1970.

NO NO NO, It's a joke before you all bombard me. I agree with Eric on this one.

Played today Adrian Gale, Sojourn ( new one ) Toronto"Looking for Trouble ", Chilliwack "Wanna Be A Star", 21 Guns "Nothings Real", Seventh Force and
John Sykes "Nuclear Cowboy".
