And that was one of the very things I brought up with him.
The very unfortunate thing with Rick is that he does not own the rights to any of his own music.
Therefore, he has no rights to re-release the old titles and no way of doing so unless he bought back the old masters from the labels.
Now that gets even more complicated when his 70's releases were all on different labels and again on different labels from each other in different countries!!

What he said he wants to do is re-record 2001 versions of his old songs to give them the proper production treatment, yet leave them true to themselves.

An interesting idea.

Currently the only albums he owns rights to is Karma and Alive.

If anyone wants some CDRs of his early 70's work, let me know.
Not even Rick has a problem with these!!
