Most of my buddies who banged their teenage heads to Quiet Riot and the Scorpions (circa 1984) have gone in 4 different directions. In one corner, you have
Joe Longhair who got married, cut his hair and now listens to country, AC, classic rock or whatever's on the radio on his way to his next business meeting.
In some cases, Stryper has been replaced by "diaper", financially speaking!

In the second camp, you have a bunch of turncoat metalheads who now embrace the alternative scene and deny they ever raised their fist and yelled to Alice Cooper back in 1987. (Part of this group also listened to heavier music for its technical values but, following the death of the guitar solo back in the early 90's, moved onto jazz or prog rock for musical inspiration.)

Then there's the guys who still have all their old Ratt and Dokken tapes and regularily rock out but are totally unaware that there's still a scene going on.

Lastly, there are the people who frequent this board and are keeping the whole thing alive. Long live hard rock!!
