Hey Kevin , How about that songs you/re talking about that they did with David ( 93-98 ) , I didn/t know they even were in the cutting room ... where have you heard it from , I/m curious !! .

among other places, there are several live recordings over the last few years (mainly '97 and '98) where they were playing a lot of new songs.

Excuse me but I not agree in your comment about " Vital ..." , it/s a really great album...I love it !! .

well, I don't hate it either, but it's far from my favorite of the Survivor albums

on a rundown of the songs....

I Can't Hold Back -- most people would say classic. I never found it THAT great. It's fairly good, live version is better. Solid cut.

High On You -- totally harmless pop, but pretty good. Guess you could say classic.

First Night -- studio version is ok; live version is CLASSIC.

The Search Is Over -- my least favorite of their ballads. It's just too "harmless no-feeling syrupy pop" for my tastes...especially when you stack it up against their others, most of which would be classic.

Broken Promises -- pop again. fairly harmless. Fun but nothing great.

Popular Girl -- ummm....filler!!!!

Everlasting -- ok cut, but no classic. Heard better, heard worse.

It's the Singer Not the Song -- nice rocking song, but it's not a highlight. Hate the idea behind the song also--if you have a horrible song, no singer is going to make it great--but that's beside the point.

I See You In Everyone -- CLASSIC. One of the few examples where the pop formula really worked and by far, the best song on the album.

so....
3 classics
1 good
4 ok
1 filler

compared with some of my favorite albums.....it just doesn't stack up and falls well beind some of Survivor's best albums.

Kevin
