Well guys , one thing that I haven/t ever understood is how come great AOR acts dare to change their classic magic style approaching into a much harder sound in order to gain a major audience , risky step for some of them I might add at this point !!.

One clear name that jumps in my head at the moment it/d be SURVIVOR that after 2 wonderful AOR classic albums in a row then came " Too hot to sleep " , where they crearly tried to have
a peek into a much harder driving sound , anyway that album also had its AOR magic sparks like " Desperate Dreams" , what a tune for getting you in the mood of some bigger things !! .

actually, THTS was a clear attempt of going back to the 4 Dave Bickler-voiced cds prior to Jimi Jamison's joining with Vital Signs because the band thought they were getting "too soft"--and overall is more representative of the true "classic" Survivor sound of mixing the AOR elements with the more hard rock sounds as exemplified by Premonition and Eye of the Tiger.
