I was perusing another board and someone there was ranting about Ritchie's recent collaborations (rennassaince type music) with his wife/girlfriend Candice White. They thought Ritchie should stick to rock and roll.
I have the first CD "Shadows of the Moon" and to be honest, it was the shock of my life that I actually liked it. After hearing Candice's pathetic attempts at back-up vocals on "Strangers in Us All," I didn't think she could pull it off. However, I really liked the album a lot. Anyone else have Blackmore's Night stuff? What do you think of it?
I've read on Ritchie's site that he's wanted to do this type of thing for a really long time. I think it's great that after his huge success as a rock performer he can persue something that gives him great joy (even if it's not typical of him or widely accepted among his fans...).
