>> The current UltraSound 2001 confirmed lineup (from http://www.egotripent.com/ultrasound/confirmed.html) is :

1. Rob Rock (ex-Impellitteri)
2. Tony Harnell and Mark Reale (Westworld) doing an unplugged set
3. Seven Witches (with Wade Black, ex-Crimson Glory)
4. Velocity
5. Robin Brock (with backing band of Tim Pierce, Jeff Pilson, and James Kottack)
6. Mitch Malloy
7. John Taglieri <<

We've added Outlaw / Axe Killer recording artists American Dog (with Michael Hannon from Salty Dog / Dangerous Toys) and Lion Music recording artists Jarra in the past week.

>> This a great list of bands but where are the "unsigned" bands that play LA regularly like

Tribe Of Gypsies << We're working on getting Tribe involved. It's pretty much (though not ENTIRELY) down to Roy's schedule and whether or not he'll be available.

>> The Szuters << They played last time

>> Burning Rain << I've been on the phone with Doug Aldrich and he's definitely interested. We'll see what happens.

>> or the signed bands for that matter

Wonderland
Tsar <<

Haven't approached either of these band's mgmt but we have spoken to AGM regarding American Pearl and they're a possibilty ...

>> There also appears to be a lack of North American bands from the Big 4 and Kivel like

Danger Danger
Guild Of Ages
Axe
Vaughn
The Sign
Enuff Z Nuff
Doug Howard
Attraction
Britton (Song Haus)
Millenium
Norway
Dakota
Tower City
Emerald Rain
Danny Danzi
Johnny Lima
Jimmy Lawrence <<

Every single one of the above listed acts and / or their mgmt / label are on our mailing list and are aware of the event. A few of them have been eMailed directly even but no response yet, unfortunately (still holding out hope, though!). I've spoken to Danny Danzi about being there and he had said he would love to make an appearance if he's not buried in studio tape. He won't be able to play but he said he'd like to show up and support the event. Danny's a great guy and I'd love to hang out with his ass for a few days! Johnny Lima was offered an acoustic spot but unfortunately he'll be working on his new album at that time, although he said, "I love the idea, man!". Maybe Johnny can do UltraSound 2002. I'd love to have him there.
As I've mentioned before the AOR and hard rock community doesn't seem all that interested in UltraSound - not NEARLY as interested as the power metallers - but if a few more people that ARE interested post about it maybe the interest level will pick up?? I dunno ..
On a VERY positive note though - we've ALREADY filled up our quota for the number of rooms we had to guarantee the Hilton in order to hold the conference there. Whoohoo!!!!! :) (And we haven't even booked OUR rooms yet ...!)

Thanks for your suggestions, man! :)
