Hi all,

Very "silly" topic for which I apologize in advance, but I wanted to let you know about my favourite musicians, albums, etc. in 2000....

Best bass player : Neil Stubenhaus (for his entire career and his amazing work on Karizma's Document)
Best drummer : Ron Wikso (for his superb and tasteful general drumming and for his work on D.G. Eisley's SFTP
Best guitarist : Stef Burns for The Vu's Phoenix Rising and mainly for his extraordinaire live performence with Huey Lewis at the Montreux Jazz Festival
Best keyboards : David Garfield (I can't help but I just love this guy and his playing)
Best singers : Danny Vaughn/David Glen Eisley/Sammy Hagar
Best albums (in no particular order) : David Glen Eisley (Stranger From The Past), Sammy Hagar (10/13), The Vu (Phoenix Rising), Pink Cream 69 (Sonic Dynamite), Street Legal (Thunderdome), The Sign (Signs of Life), Two Fires (s/t),
Vaughn (Soldiers....)
Best fusion album : Dave Weckl's Transition
Best jazz album : Quincy Jones' Basie & Beyond
Best pop album : Joe Cocker's No Ordinary World

BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR (ALL CATEGORIES) : Quincy Jones's Basie & Beyond
