Here's the LOGICAL timetable for Van Halen

As Andrew has previously noted on this site, Warner Australia has Van Halen's new album scheduled for a March 2001 release.

This makes perfect sense for 2 reasons.

1) It's a traditional time for Van Halen to release albums. Their first album. Van Hagar's debut 5150. And yes, even the ill fated VD III.

2) An album release gives the band about 3 months to get publicity going for a tour that is likely to begin in June. There's a reason U2 is starting their tour early this time. Who else is big enough to compete with them? The Stones aren't active at the moment.

With most major album releases, there is a single released to rock radio a month to 6 weeks before the album release date. This means we are within weeks of the first Van HALEN single in 4 1/2 years and within months of the first album in 16 years!! The waiting is almost over, but it will all be worth it :)
