SFK Kurt and 80's Pop?

So Kurt, whats your take on 80's Pop? I am not talking Culture Club, but the other stuff like Ultravox (Reap The Wild Wind"), Yazoo, Duran Duran, and others?

I always thought Duran Duran where a highly underated band with an unfortunate image problem. I'll take the "Rio" album over a lot of what passed for AOR back in the day. OMD was another cool band, which simply wrote great songs without screaming guitars.

Kate Bush's "The Hounds Of Love" stands above everything for me as far as 80's pop goes.

Have you ever read the 80's pop mag "Lexicon"? It covers all these bands, and is a very informative read. Reviews of AOR like Toto and stuff too.
