ELO, Progressive Rock Band?

Electric Light Orchestra is one of my favorite bands. But to describe this band it is very difficult. During the late 70s they are known by techno-rock group maybe influenced by 10cc or ELP. Am I right to say they are progressive band?

Rock conosoirs, please help me.
