You knew I couldn't resist this.... I would never consider or draw a parallel to Freddie Mercury's tougne in cheek noodlings like "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy", to Captian & Tenille's tripe, as they came from different musical Worlds. It would be like comparing Emerson, or Wakeman to John Tesh. The intent was different, and lets face it- when Mercury wrote the lyrics to the above song-he meant it. But, Queen never took themselves too seriously which is part of thier charm, and when they Rocked- no one could touch them.

"Love Will Keep Us Together" does have a good hook. I admit it. They actually had a TV show which had some pretty good musical guests like Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Bread, and others, but the rest of the show was usually garbage.

Another cool 70's pop hit was Jigsaw's "Sky High", I think they were British? The Brothers Johnson "Strawberry Letter 22" was very cool too.
