Here is an interview with Johnny and Ale. Within the first 7 minutes, I think they confirm several things many of us have questioned in previous posts:
1. Johnny has no desire or interest in trying to go back and re-create the "classic" Hardline sound of Double Eclipse, nor does Ale.
2. Johnny feels that as long as he's singing on it, that's what makes it Hardline.
3. The PR spin from Frontiers constantly mentioning "Double Eclipse" is typical marketing dept. hype. At least these 2 guys are a lot more honest about it in this interview.
BTW- Last half of the interview is particularly interesting, it's Johnny's candid explanation on Neal Schon's involvement with Hardline... Johnny is speaking respectfully but I definitely get the vibe from him that Neal kinda invited himself in, took over and changed the direction of what the brothers wanted to do- and maybe that didn't sit so well with them... Like I said- interesting!
