I was listening to Hugo today and he held a note for an abnormally long time. What other singers are really good at holding notes for long periods of time?

Well, as far as rock goes, I would have to say Freddy Curci in Sherriff has the record---Guiness Book of World Records to be precise--for the last note of "When I'm With You", which was held for about 30 seconds (and he comes REALLY close on the live version on the best of cd). The note at the end of the lp (not cd) version of "Give Me Rock and Roll", I actually found more impressive as he is constantly changing pitch all thru the note and ends with a note SO high it isn't even funny. Some of the notes on the Alias cd are pretty impressive also, but Curci did stuff with Sherriff that almost beyond human. As far as vocal acrobatics go, I don't know any cds that beat that.

Steve Perry had a few long notes also on the pre-Raised on Radio material.
