Loverboy - How many...

...greatest hits albums can this band put out?? Yikes! There should be a law! This was my favorite band when I was a teenager (you know that headband and those leather pants were just "IT" back then! LOL) and it makes me sad to think they aren't allowed a new release except once every ten years. "Six" was really good.

WHEN THEY WERE TOURING LAST YEAR, MATT TOLD ME THAT THE BAND WAS REALLY HAPPY WITH THE SHOWS THAT THEY RECORDED STUFF ON, BECAUSE MIKE SOUNDED HIS BEST. I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE PUT NOTORIOUS OR LOVE WILL RISE AGAIN INSTEAD OF LEAD A DOUBLE LIFE. BUT HEY THAT IS MY OPINION. GLAD TO SEE THERE IS POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON THE POST TO THIS BAND, I THINK THEY ARE VERY UNDER-RATED.
THANKS ANDREW FOR THE UPDATE. YOU HAVE MADE ME ONE HAPPY PERSON. :-) KIM.

Back in the debut and on "Get Lucky" of course there were keyboards, but it was well balanced with Dean's growly guitar playing. On later albums, the keys stepped way up to the forefront. I mean really, if you listen to something "Hot Girls in Love" compared to "Turn Me Loose" there's a big difference.

Rogue

That first song on side two of their first album could have been Devo! Loverboy had as much synthesizer in their sound as guitar, if not more
