S.U.N.-Something Unto Nothing again:

Sorry for te late to the party additional post here.but I just got a copy of this one. And... I like it quite alot. Guessing it'll continue to be a real grower too. Who knew Brian Tichy could shred on guitar like this?! Wonder if it's really him on all the soloing. If so--pretty damn good playing! This seems a fine fit for Sass Jordan as well. Bluesy, oldschool hard rock with a tinge of Zep here & there--espescially that title track. Very cool indeed. And the production--stellar!! Now, if BCC ever sounded this good sonically, they'd have had something a bit better presented,IMO. Sorry, Mr. Shirley-but THIS is how it's done. I'm sure they know each other, both being from Toronto and all. So very very sad to hear of what became of Allanah tho. Was it MS that she got diagnosed with? In very poor physical health last I was aware. Her music career kind of hit the skids after the 3rd cd. Really enjoyed her first 2 the most--great stuff!! I'd never heard of her until a local Buffalo band with two chicks played 4-5 songs from her debut. This was before Black Velvet hit big,of course. I ran right out and bought the album, along with her following ones. SAw her once live in a huge Buffalo club for the 3rd album (I think). She and band were great, and I recall thinking how under-rated she was other than people knowing her 'hit song'. She should have made a much bigger impact than being relegated to one hit wonder--at least here in The US. Did she fair better in Canada? T

As a Toronto resident there was a period about 10 years ago she was playing small clubs a few times a year and it was great.

One time allanah myles walked in to check things out, was drunk out of her skull, stayed 15 minutes and split - pretty odd.

They must be friends as another time they shared a bill and each did a set and then a mini duet set at the end if my recollection is up to snuff.
