Regarding the less prog more melody comments above, my take was, Heavenly Ecstacy is for Pagan's Mind what Empire was for Queensryche back in the day, if that makes any kinda crazy sense!?

I have no idea myself as I haven't heard the last couple of records. I have God's Equation, and that is the last one I listened to. That one has it's moments but I think I'd prefer them less experimental and progressive for my taste.....that's why I asked.

They also have one of the most under-rated guitarists around, in, Jorn Viggo Lofstadt. What a fabulous player. Tone, technique...the lot.

Think I'm saying yes, the last couple records were less progressive, but progressive can mean many different things to many different people so not insisting anything, just my take on it! ;)

Ahem, if I may ;) ... I'd argue Celestial Entrance and Enigmatic Calling are as equally strong as the last couple records, maybe even superior (at least on a personal level). Somewhat heavier prog and might take a bit of researching, but anyone who's in tune with the last couple records but not really taken the time to explore the earlier material could be in for a real treat :)
