Thoughts on Crash Diet - The Savage Playground

Just finally recieved my Crash Diet and I think it is one of there best release to date . Any other thoughts about it .

Also recieved the new Pink Cream 69 and not liking that at all ... Maybe need to give it a few more spins but really disappointing so far on that one.

Probably not as commercial but has an old shool sleaze edge running through it. If Hanoi were in their pomp now I reckon they would sound something like this.

There's maybe 5-6 standout tracks and the rest filler. Even the vocals don't sound as strong ad the previous release.

The new pc69 has left me a bit cold. Not a bad release but certainly not worth a 4-5 year wait. Good songs but no standout killer tracks unfortunately. Takes a few spins to get into it, but I've listened 10 times and still no standout.

The Savage Playground just doesn't have the hooks that graced their previous albums, and the production is a backwards step.

As for PC69, aside from a couple of songs it sounded predictable and formulaic, especially the chorus on 'Wasted Years.' I'm sure I've heard another chorus that is practically identical to it, but I can't remember who by. By their previous standards, Ceremonial is a lacklustre effort.
