There were UFO albums that I played to death....and death again. This being one of them (along with the equally awesome Obsession). The early 80's were spent with me wearing out the grooves of many a UFO and MSG album LOL.

Listening to this album now it had it all. Great in your face hard rock songs, Angst filled vocals, some of the finest melodic guitar playing EVER committed to vinyl and that unmistakeable rythm section of Way/Parker.

Along with Thin Lizzy, UFO should have been much much bigger than they were.

VM is a good player, but he's brought new elements to the solo's. He uses a lot of neck pick-up, a more twangy tone at times. My biggest gripe is I just wish in these twilight years, they had ditched the studio/producer routine that is TOMMY NEWTON! Monkey Puzzle, Visitor and Seven Deadly could have all been so much better had they had a better producer that worked things up a bit more, and mixed them better. As a life long UFO fan, those records are the only ones that I cherry pick about three songs from each LP from to listen to.
